Service disclaimer.
Please read this explanation of our role before using our document preparation service.
We are not attorneys.
AC Divorce Services is a non-attorney document preparation service, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, negotiations, courtroom representation or a decision about which legal rights you should exercise or give up.
Our role in a self-represented case.
We help assemble and prepare divorce documents using the facts and instructions you supply, so that you can pursue your own case as a self-represented party, also called pro se. You remain responsible for your choices, the accuracy of your statements, review of the completed papers, required signatures and compliance with court instructions. Our administrative assistance does not create an attorney–client relationship.
When legal advice is needed.
An attorney should address questions about property, maintenance, agreements, residency, service, safety or other legal rights. Our experience working with attorneys does not mean an attorney has reviewed your matter or is representing you through our service.
Court procedures and outcomes.
Only the court can grant a divorce. Filing methods, additional document requests, appearances and processing times depend on the court and the circumstances. We cannot guarantee acceptance, a completion date or a particular result. Court fees and third-party charges are separate from our service fee.
Website and questionnaire.
Website material is general information, not individual legal advice. Completing a questionnaire does not start a court case or confirm that we have accepted the work. We agree on the scope and fee before beginning preparation.
